Doomsday in Hell - Chapter 8 - InfinitelyPossible (2024)

Chapter Text

Five days later

“You gimp-mask wearing f*cks!” The world exploded into stars of angelic dust, raining down onto Blitzø as he curled his hands up, firing three more shots into the angels’ chest. “My wall!” He wailed as the office wall exploded. “Millie! Moxxie?!” Through the gap in the wall, several hundred angels descended, standing on the ledge, “get out of my office!” He yelled.

The angels snarled down at him, each of their masks contorting into fury. Blitzø kicked his legs up one of them flew forward, pinning him into the ground. “Way to gang up on me. This is like getting jumped in the parking lot by nine really angry loan sharks. You puss*es-!” He clenched his hand and the sword appeared, the angelic silver glinting in the reflection of the mask, and he sliced across the angels’ throat.

Another screamed, and they all leapt at him.

Moxxie yelped, a shriek of pain rising up out of his chest as he was slammed into the picture frame, the glass slicing up into his back. Millie leapt at the angel, legs wrapping around its neck. “We’re running out of angelic bullets!” Millie called to him.

“Damn it, I knew I should have bought more from that Expo. They were supposed to be collectors IteMS- WAIT WAIT WAIT-“ he held up his hands to block another angel’s spear as it pushed toward his neck.

In the corners the TV flashed a broadcast warning, and on it, images of Imp’s being cut down. Moxxie’s chest squeezed, his stomach turning. Enraged, he caught the spear in his hands, struggling to wrench it from the angels’ grasp, “you think you can just come into our office?!” He wrenched it from the angel’s hands and broke it over his knee, pointing the spearhead towards the looming figure.

He went to move forward but gasped as the office door slammed open and Blitzø was thrown at his feet, sliding along the floor. “Low blow,” he rasped, “oh hey Moxxie- or are you Millie? I don’t know I’m seeing nines right now,”

“Sir!” Moxxie kneeled over Blitzø, moving his head onto his knee, “we can’t fight them off. We need to flee, Millie.” Millie nodded and broke the angels’ neck with her knees and then swung her ax into its chest. It barely stumbled back from the blow.

My glove came off- the crystal is in the office,

“I got it.” Millie ran for the door and Blitzø called out to her, she stopped and turned just in time for him to throw her the sword. She caught it easily and burst into the office.

“Go, Moxx,” he shoved at Moxxie who nodded and sprinted for the office door. Blitzø rolled onto his side, coughing a sizeable disgusting glob of blood onto the carpet. On the news he saw the flashing of his own building, a camera crew hiding outside and zooming in. He watched angels heading straight for the gap in the wall.

He forced himself up onto his knees. “Hey that’s us,” he mumbled, “hey that’s us!” He yelled, a lot more panicked. He scrambled up, arms shaking as he pressed himself into the wall, wincing in disgust as his fingers touched angel blood. He limped into the office as Millie hit the ground, blood bursting from her nose and the sword hitting the carpet. In the panic of the fight, Blitzø headed for his glove. “Sir?!” Moxxie gasped.

“Hold them off me!” Blitzo yelled, he leapt towards the floor, turning around just in time for Moxxie to tackle an Angel headed right for him. “With me!” Moxxie and Millie ran for him, Millie snatching the ring off of the ground inches away from an Angel’s spear. Blitzø slammed his hand over the crystal.

The portal opened right onto the street, and they tumbled through, closing it behind them. “Where do we go?” Millie asked. Stolas’s place flew into Blitz’s mind, though he wouldn’t be there, it might be a safe place to hide.

“sh*t…Loona!” He screamed to himself, “where-“

“We don’t know sir,” Moxxie admitted quietly, “stay still. I think you cracked a rib or two,”

“Well, I didn’t crack them! She said she was going to hang out with Bee- the- sin of gluttony, woman.” Blitzø looked around, “did I pass out, where are we?”

“Behind a dumpster, sir.”

“Oh, fantastic.” And just as he said it, a shining weapon pointed in his face, “oh great.

“Demon scum.” The angel snarled.

“Hellborn scum, specifically.” Blitzø answered, “isn’t this cowardly of you, to attack little Imps hiding behind a dumpster, you playground bully-!” He kicked the spear as hard as he could, but it barely moved in the angel’s hard grasp.

“Don’t let it touch you, Blitzø!” Moxxie grabbed his arms and yanked just as the spear came down, “even a scratch from it can kill you. We’re Hellborn Imps. Didn’t the Prince get extremely hurt by a couple of stabs and he’s much stronger than we are.”

“Stolas is fine-“

“No he isn’t!” Millie and Moxxie both said, Moxxie threw Blitzø to Millie who caught him around the middle. “Take him!” Millie hesitated, “I know about angelic weapons. Take Blitzø and run!” He screamed, catching the middle of the spear in his hand, he struggled against the angel, the tip of the spear against his nose. “Please Millie, I’m begging you not to die here. I can’t fight with you in danger, please take care of Blitzø for me.”

Millie couldn’t. She just couldn’t.

If something happened and she wasn’t there-

Three more angels descended between her, and the space in front of Moxxie. She gasped, tears filling her eyes. “I’ll be fine- you plastic pricks!” He screamed, he jammed his boot into the Angel’s stomach and Millie stumbled away. “The ring! I still have the ring-“

“Leave me.” Blitzø said, and Millie flinched, “leave me, go for Moxxie!” He screamed and Millie dropped him instantly, “go, I’m fine! It’s a couple ribs, it’s nothing!” Millie turned and ran back to the alley and Blitzø dragged himself up off of the curb, propping himself against a wall.

He gingerly lifted his shirt, gasping at the glowing slice in his side. “Stabbing assholes,” he muttered. He remembered the pain, as the angel sliced and threw him through in the office.

It was a pain even worse than when he was caught on fire at the circus. The burns all over his body had nothing on the searing agony pulsing throughout his bones. He slumped over, eyes slipping shut. Through the slight opening in them, he saw an angel staring him down, and then it walked off. At least he looked pale enough to pass as dead already. Not even worth the effort of double tapping.

Ha.

Double tapping-

No, he wasn’t going to die laughing at a stupid joke just to cope with the very real possibility of dying alone. Loona said she’d be here, he was almost angry she wasn’t here when he was dying, and then he was relieved.

She couldn’t be anywhere safer than with her friends.

He wondered if Barbie was somewhere safe. If Fizz was. There would have to be an impressive amount of angels to take down Asmodeus.

“B-“

“Bl-“

“Sir?”

“BLITZØ!” Blitzø sunk lower into the wall, his body dragged down its rough bricks and he hit the ground, his head bouncing against the pavement. He barely felt the smash of concrete on the back of his head, his body too numb.

Too warm.

Far too warm, almost a pleasant warmth. Like drinking in the snow and getting hypothermia. “When-“ a voice fluttered in and out his ears and he peeled his eyes open. Moxxie.

“Thanks,” Blitzø smiled to himself. Moxxie frowned. Moxxie was there. Good old reliable Moxxie.

He’d never admit it, but on his list of people he wanted there when he died, Moxxie was one of them.

Moxxie. Millie. Loona.

Stolas. Always that stupid asshole.

Blitzø was selfish because even if it was depressing as f*ck watching him die, he wanted someone there. Someone’s gotta stay with him, damn it. If it couldn’t be Barbie or Fizz or Loona or even Stolas, he had to pick someone. He shifted his head, propping it against Moxxie’s knee.

When did you get stabbed?” Moxxie whispered.

Slashed. Office.”

“You never said anything. I worried you were hurt, you’ve never been so weak from a kick to the ribs before.” A pair of hands landed on his back, smaller, pressing firm. Blitzø untucked his face and through blurry eyes, Millie fell into his vision.

Go…” Blitzø held out the crystal, “Family,” he whispered, “siblings, parents.” Millie’s eyes filled with tears.

“I can’t just leave you and Moxx,” Blitzø pressed it harder into her hand, “Your family,” he pushed again, fingers slipping and Millie caught the crystal as his hands hit the ground, “go.”

“I can send you somewhere-“

”won’t work for the palace,” that dick Stolas had put magic in place so Blitzø couldn’t portal into his house. “Can’t get inside,” there was no way he could climb in. Plus, Stolas was likely wise about him scaling the walls and had probably put more measures in place before he left.

“Okay, I’ll open it to the farm. You keep the crystal, take yourselves somewhere safer-“

”but you need it!” Moxxie argued, but Millie opened the portal and leaned down, kissing Moxxie. “Millie wait-“ she stepped through and tossed the crystal back. It closed, basking them in darkness.

“The pirate,” Blitzø whispered, scrambling for the crystal, “take me to Vassago,” he whispered, squeezing it around his hands. It opened.
